Arthur C. Clarke
Arthur C. Clarke (1917-2008) was one of the most influential science-fiction writers of the Twentieth Century, and in many ways a pioneer in scientific thought. His best known work was 2001: A Space Odyssey which was followed by three sequels. A collection of signed first editions of the entire series, 2001, 2010, 2061, and 3001 is available at the Grey Parrot. Also available is a signed first edition of Childhood's End, which many readers and critics consider his best work.
