Former Attorney General Griffin Bell book launch party


Griffin Bell, III and Katherine Bell McClure will be hosting a reception on December 11th at The Grey Parrot Gallery in honor of their grandfather, Griffin B. Bell, former U.S. Attorney General. A limited number of signed copies of Judge Bell's new book, “Footnotes to History: A Primer on the American Political Character,” will be available at this time.

Book signing, discussion and reading with author John Schulz!


Join local Georgia author John Schulz as he reads and discusses his new book, “Requiem for a Redneck,” the evenig of Thursday, April 15th. John possesses a good ear for dialect, a good eye for local color, an ability to remember countless details of his experiences, and a complex sense of humor and sensitivity. He has paid attention to southern working men and appreciates their varied and unique lifestyles. “Requiem for a Redneck,” is a fictional novel created from a mixed compilation of stories, experiences, and observations that John has held on to for many years.

Book signing and discussion with author Dr. Bill Morton


Georgia author Bill Morton will be discussing and signing copies of his latest book, “The Story of Georgia's Boundaries,” here in the gallery on Thursday May 6th. Dr. Morton's book is a rich and well researched acount of the development of Georgia's boundaries from colonization through statehood. To coincide with Dr. Morton's discussion, we will have many of our historic Georgia maps on display. Some of these were previously shown in our Early Georgia History exhibit, while many are new aquisitions to the gallery. This event is a must for all of our Georgia history enthusiasts!
