A very nice, signed print by Hofmann (1824-1911) showing the child Jesus in the Temple debating with the scribes. Hofmann, who was deeply religious, is best known for this depictions of the life of Christ. Before each work, he would extensively study the scripture surrounding the scene. Image size is 15 x 11 in. Even toning to paper. Archivally framed. Signed "J. M. Heinrich Hoffmann" in pencil in lower right margin. vg/--.
