The St. Louis Arsenal provided an abundance of amunition that could supply both the Union and the Confederacy making it very important for both sides. The St. Louis Arsenal remained under Federal control throughout the Civil War. Originally published in "Harper's Pictorial History of the Civil War," 16 1/4 x 11 1/2 inches. The Text to the top reads "Harper's History of the Great Rebellion," the top left corner indicates that it is page 106, chipping to the right edge and a minor chip to the bottom edge, vg+/--.
