An excellent depiction of Sherman's Army's march through Georgia. The first major section (27" x 11") is a collection of 20 small maps each depicting a phase or battle in Sherman's march from Chattanooga to Atlanta. The largest of these maps is a Map showing Battle-Field of Peach Tree Creek, GA. Below this collection of small maps is a 27 1/4" x 5" map showing the entire march South to Savannah, from November 15 to December 21, 1864. Total 27 1/4" x 17" within plate, 29 1/4" x 18 1/4" at margins. Fine condition. fn/--.
