First printing from Buchon's "Atlas Geographique". The atlas represents the French edition Carey and Lea's "A Complete Historical Chronological and Geographical Atlas", Philadelphia, 1822, and was the first example of an American atlas to be honored with a European edition. Florida was admitted to the Union in 1821, and this is the French edition of the first map of Florida as an American territory. Map is hand colored, clean and free of foxing. vg/--.
