The paper has been split and repaired along the lower portion of Jackson's signature. Contains a black and white engraving of Eliphalet F. Andrews's portrait of Andrew Jackson published in The White House Gallery of Official Portraits of the Presidents in 1901, the plate is 8 x 12 inches and the margin is 17 1/2 x 22 1/2 inches, text concerning the highlights of Jackson's life and political career also published in The White House Gallery of Official Portraits of the Presidents to the back, text written by Major-General Jos. Wheeler, minor chipping to the left and right side, staining to the bottom left margin and bottom right corner, two light vignettes to the margin in sepia tone, 16 x 19 1/2 inches.
